Subbrand

Primarily the role of the sub brand it to extend or diversify the parent brand. It’s a task that has to be undertaken with care to avoid confusion – supporting the master brand, without diluting it. Most sub brands have their own strategy and often a different target market. They require a careful balancing act to sit under the umbrella brand whilst carving out a unique identity of its own. We examine the intricacies of the sub branding; where it’s worked; and where it’s fallen short.
