Peacock Dental Spa

A brand new dental practice for people who want to enjoy going to the dentist has just opened in the heart of Loughborough – Peacock Dental Spa. Set up by husband and wife team, Katy and Mike Ingram, the dental practice will offer its customers a calm and tranquil environment with areas of comfort and relaxation – with even the most nervous of patients catered for. As well as providing a ‘spa-like’ experience, the team are passionate about cutting edge dentistry and have invested in the very latest technology in order to deliver high-quality long lasting dentistry.

From the moment we were approached to create a brand for Peacock Dental Spa we knew it would have bags of personality. Katy and Mike strive to do things differently, and put the customer at the heart of everything they do. We wanted to create a brand that felt vibrant and fun. And, with over 40 years experience between them, a brand that also conveying a sense of professionalism, trust and expertise.

The team had started the building work, chosen the all important dental chair colours, established the name and dreamt up the perfect neon sign. Our job at a dozen eggs was to bring it all together. They had big plans for the space, creating an entrance with impact – so we started experimenting with shapes that could both mirror the interior as well as a peacock feather.

Bright colours, abstract feather shapes and a little bit of neon make up the Peacock Dental brand. The tone of voice is cheeky at times (with the odd pun, or two!) with the team living out their values of promoting positivity, kindness and team-spirited fun.

Peacock Dental Spa are currently taking new patient bookings via their website for their October launch, whether its reconstructive and repair work, or cosmetic work to transform your smile – the team have a lot of experience behind them. We look forward to seeing them welcome their first patients and become established within the community.

A dozen eggs were recommended to us by an old friend who also used their services for his company’s logo.

We checked out their website and were delighted with the work they had done for other companies – many of which are well-known locally. It’s important for us to support local businesses and we were pleased we had such an expert locally.

On first contact with Fran, we were impressed that she was lecturing at the University (you see – you can do AND teach!), and we decided to go with them.

We wanted a modern, ‘clever’ logo design, with a hidden message (like the A to Z arrow in the Amazon logo), plus bright vibrant colours to match our cheeky approach.

The colour scheme was dictated by the dental chair colours, plus the blues, greens and teals one would associate with a peacock.

For us, consistency in branding is vital, and we wanted to ensure the colour scheme flowed from the furniture through uniform colours to the literature and promotional materials.

Fran, Beth and Jo listened to our ideas and vision, and were able to reproduce them beautifully. They were also very helpful in creating leaflets, poster designs, letterheads and business cards.

For my previous business, we hadn’t used a branding company, which was BIG mistake. Designing a logo is one thing, but creating the different file types, branding guidelines, colour palette, fonts and literature is quite another.
