Based at De Montfort University, Bridging the Divide is a research group that uses design and advanced technology to enhance lifesaving products for the poor. Current projects involve 3D printing for low-income economies, design tools and methods.
Bridging the Divide needed a strong, professional identity to reflect the advanced technology with which they work and the academic foundations underpinning all their projects. The brand also needed to reflect the human outcomes of those projects. A system for sub branding was developed to allow the client to brand any future products easily, adding longevity to the brand as a whole.
Alongside the logo and extended brand, we created a body of illustrations to be used throughout the website and across additional printed media. Scenes and icons help to illustrate current work, proposals and projects in a bright, lively and informative way.
