Based on the outskirts of Birmingham city centre, Office landscapes is a large family-run business. They supply interior and exterior plant displays (both live and artificial) to a wide range of workplace environments. With over 40 years of experience, the team continue to create greener workplaces across the West Midlands and beyond.
To keep up with their client base and to reflect contemporary design demands, Office Landscapes were in need of a new look and feel. They approached a dozen eggs for a rebrand – a fresh identity that would still retain a nod to their heritage.
We worked with the team at Office Landscapes to understand the current trends in interior planting. With over 4 decades of experience they were able to identity passing fads and more long lasting shifts in demand. We developed a brand to reflect the simple, pared-back, no-fuss plating seen in many of their modern displays. A stylised identity to mirror the design elements involved in their service.
The loose, hand-drawn mark was inspired by the upright leaves recognisable from much indoor planting. The bright green lines sitting well against a clean white backdrop, but also at home on the dark blue-grey of the extended brand colour-palette. As part of the primary logo the mark stands proudly above the typeface. It can also be applied flexibly – for example, enlarged and wrapped around the side of the company vans.
As well as rolling out the new brand across office stationery, signage etc, Office Landscapes required a website refresh to create a cohesive experience throughout the business. Once again, the site adopts a clean, simple design – reflecting the corporate environments that much of Office Landscapes work will feature. Ease of navigation was of course a key focus of the website, as well as a tailored gallery section that would help clients to understand the product range, visualise what they might want for their own workspaces, and allow Office Landscapes to showcase their newest and most in-demand products.
