The Student Lettings Company

a dozen eggs have worked with the founders of The Student Lettings Company for a number of years, and have enjoyed the process of redeveloping and refining the site.

Originally, the site was an offshoot of AJR, a well respected estate agent within Loughborough and the surrounding villages. When the company decided to increase their focus on students, we reimagined the site for the clarified intended audience.

The Student Lettings Company is the go-to place for Loughborough students to find a house, and therefore needed to reflect how it’s client base will interact with it. With this mission in mind, the site has been developed for ease of use on a mobile, ensuring that potential letters can find out all the relevant information they need. The functionality required included the ability to download sample documents, book valuations and request repairs on property.

The company has been trading in Loughborough for over 10 years, and has built good relationships with a number of Loughborough landlords. Therefore the site also needed to appeal to landlords and those looking to invest in property.

The site pulls in relevant data from the property feed and renders the images so that any potential customer can get a feel of each property. The individual property pages then prioritise he information the student may wish to know. Number of double beds, parking spaces, whether the price is inclusive of bills as well as location. The ability to arrange a viewing became the primary call to action throughout the site – with it featuring at regular intervals.

Alongside a website, a dozen eggs have designed a responsive logo that can stand out on a for sale board, or be minimised depending on the messages that needs to be prioritised. The logo was then rolled out across lots of stash for students! You’ll also noticed we’ve designed a group of characters, based on the Student Lettings company employees – see if you can spot them in and around Loughborough!
