Things in store for 2017

2017 is looking to be an exciting year for a dozen eggs, with things getting bigger in more ways than one.

The a dozen eggs design team based in Loughborough, Birmingham and Cambridge.

Newest member of the team – Beth

The new years brings with it a new member to our team. Beth is a design all-rounder, working in branding, web and design, which makes her a great fit for the diverse range of projects we like to take on here at a dozen eggs. Jumping straight in, she’s already handling work for some of our established clients, so we look forward to introducing you in person very soon!

Growing team

With the addition of Beth, and also Dale to our web department, a dozen eggs has grown to a team of seven. To recap, we now have Chris, Danny and Dale working in web development, while Jo, Fran, Michelle and Beth cover design and branding.

This increased capacity and collection of skillsets within this close-knit team means that as well as continuing to work with our current clients, we’ll be taking on new, larger and more varied projects in the coming year, which is really exciting.

Animation

2016 saw us take on a number of animation projects, with great success. It’s a sought-after service that we’ve been looking forward to offering our clients, and we’re delighted it’s taken off so well.  We’ve talked before about the continued popularity of video in marketing, particularly with social media being such a prolific tool for organisations to spread the word about themselves. To explain the idea and give you a little taster, we’ve made our own animation, accompanied by a free information pack that you can download here.

Extending location

With an expanding client base, 2017 also sees us branching out in terms of location.  As Fran puts down roots in Cambridge, it’s now easier than ever for us to work with clients throughout the entire Midlands and Eastern regions.  We find it’s always best for designers and clients to meet face to face, especially at the beginning of a working relationship, and in the busy life of a company having your partners a stone’s throw away can only make life easier.

Workshops & Resources

Over the past few years we’ve been working hard on developing our branding process, the lynchpin of forming any company’s identity. Experience has shown us the best and most efficient ways to get results that work, but we’re not going to be keeping all this knowledge to ourselves. Throughout 2017 we will be sharing with you some of the resources that we have created in-house, to help you develop your brand.  Look out for the first blog in our series on ‘Building Successful Brands’. We’ll be running a number of workshops across the country on this subject.

We’ll also be co-hosting CARM workshops alongside Professor Liz Stokoe of Loughborough University’s Social Sciences department.  The first of these workshops was held in December and focussed on marketing services, using data collected from real-life interactions to identify the best way for organisations to communicate with audiences in their specific field.

And finally…

There’s going to be an a dozen eggs baby!  Specifically the baby belongs to our technical lead Chris and his wife, with the due date just a few weeks away. We can’t wait to meet this new member of the family. Huge congratulations to them both!
